Seen from the outside, if comparing Indomita Valtellina River to other sporting associations, this distinguishes itself for its determined and informal spirit without lacking in professionalism and a competitive spirit: a group of men and women able to appreciate, by way of sport, the bond of territory and its resources.
Indomita like a kingfisher! A small and minute bird but which is, at the same time, determined and strong. It’s only nourishment is fish. This bird, almost extinct, is an important biological indicator which lives, nests and nourishes only near those parts of the river that have maintained unaltered the environmental characteristics.
Fighting for it survival, the kingfisher has not adapted to the degraded environment, such as Indomita hasn’t chosen the more conventional and uncommitted way of proposing rafting and canoeing. It’s could be an association which doesn’t have immediate ideas and plans but certainly it doesn’t lack in fundamental contact points………of spirit and identity.
The Boffetto bridge which appears on the logo is the historical and cultural icon of the local communities that formed along the banks of the River Adda.
The strong and lively colours are those of the vitality and energy of wild-water sports. The paddle on which the kingfisher rests is the element of conjunction between the delicate balance of the river and the wish of whom, with respect, decides to learn and discover the fascination of water.
